I haven't been fortunate enough to find a junkyard that has a junked Sentra of that year, yet. I'm still searching...
Alternatively, are the injectors the same for the e16 and ga16? I'm sure the size is the same, but what about the specs? If things still don't work out, I just may put my original injector into the ga16 tb and use an aftermarket fuel regulator.. nothing should be any different from the factory E16 set up, aside from a wider opening throttle body.

That sounds like a great idea, but if the injectors were the same wouldn't they have the same resistance???

***** Whitefox, that may be the simplest solution. In order to remove and replace a tbi injector, remove the little rubber cap that reveals the terminal loops at the top of the injector. Remove the harness connector for the injector plate cover, unscrew the top plastic plate, don't lose the thin O-ring under the plate, and unscrew the aluminum injector cover. Make note of how deep the injector is in the tbi body, before you take the injector out. That way you will know if you have tapped the new one in all the way later. Then yank out the injector. I don't know if there is a special tool for that, but if there is, I have never seen one. I carefully grab the plastic top of the injector with a pair of vice-grips, twist and pull upwards. Make sure you spray some WD-40 or the like, on the injector O-rings, and phase the injector correctly, before you put it back in [there are pos. and neg. terminals]. I usually tap the injector in fully with socket that just fits around the top of the injector. If you have not tapped the injector in all they way, you will know quicky, as it will leak like crazy and flood the engine. I usually cylcle the key once, to run the fuel pump, and check it visually before staring it. Good Luck!
hey guys , quick question. i maybe out of the loop but whats the diff between the e16i and the e16s . i was told that i have the s motor. just wanted to know the difference between the 2, thanks.

i hear u, whitefox. my f@#$% power was out for since thursday and didnt come back on until 9 last night. please post once u get that running . hell im right up the road maybe i could come check it out and do it to my motor
are those the only two engines that nissan made with tbi. can someone explain to me what needs to happen to make a tbi breathe better thus producing more hp. will boring it out work?

***** In the USA, the D21 pickups had the Z24i, which had a tbi with two injectors. No Stanzas ever had tbi here. They went from carbs in '83 [CA20S], to port FI in '84 [CA20E].
Originally posted by Crazy-Mart thanks for the info.... hey by the way buddy, could that tbi bolt on you modified manifold ??...
I've actually thought of that too. But the problem would be [again] the ecu can only fire the single injector. So the twin injectors would need a stand alone engine management system. You and I think alike Marty!
Search the web for "megasquirt" It's a DIY fuel injection computer, costs about $100 for the parts to assemble it, and it can control up to two injectors. It even supports turbocharging.
