84 Sentra, No spark, no ECU LEDs

I just rebuilt the automatic tranny on an 84 Sentra. Reinstalled, added the fluids, ready to test.... no spark. Engine turns over but no spark. Found the ECU under the drivers seat. If I understand correctly, when I turn the key to "on", I should see 2 LEDs light on the ECU, but when I turn the key the LEDs stay off. Am I looking at a fuse problem? ECC relay? I can't imagine what a Tranny rebuild would have caused.... no wires pinched anywhere that I can see. Any ideas?

I'd just start with the basics. Clean the posts, yadda yadda... I'd check the battery first. On more than one occasion I've done some kind of thing and left a door open on my car while it was in the garage for a week, and the radio or something was left on.. haha... Checking some fuses might be a good idea too, like you said. Does anything at all happen when you turn the keys to 'on'?

Question

Here is the update...
there is only one wiring harness to the tranny. I pulled it apart, checked the connection. All 4 posts look good and clean. According to Haynes, there is a 20amp fuse in the circuit. Ohm tested all 20amp fuses and all check OK...

Turning the key lights up the dashboard and the car turns over, but no spark from the coil. ECU LEDs never light. Battery is still good.
