Well I've been cruisiun through the forum alot of info here, thats koo!! The main prob.I got right now is my carberated sentra wont pass smog, I believe the smog report said it high HC's, I got the hoopdie from my aunt and she said they told her the HC's was due to a crkd carburetor, what you think? Also my family has some acres with some tore up cars out there, well I found a intake manifold with the fuel injection i think. This is the info I got can tell me if would even serve a purpose for me and hoopdie I saw it said Jecs,69A07 3-4,on the spacer was TDK 8420T, and the black square on the side said A36-000 B00 , 8426,also saiod Nissan somewhere, we be clubbin
You got hella-work ahead if you go injected; I'd stay carb. High HC levels means you're burning rich or you're burnin' oil. Check the choke and see if it's not halfawy shut while running; Also, check your air cleaner. You could also have a dilemma with your air/fuel ratio solenoid in the carb, or even your O2 sensor may be kaput. Check your choke and O2 sensor first; Lemme know what ya git. --Rob

fresh cat might help too, and try using dry gas when u go for emissions and if that fails see if u have a buddy that works at the gas station that might let u slide, its impossible here but every state is different
Yup, check the O2 (cheap, easy fix, do it first), but there's a decent chance its the cat, its probably never been replaced or its due. You'l have to get it welded on though.
LOL, he's from Cali. Smog is a huge goverment beurocracy (like here in OR.) And those boys in Sacremento/Salem get every dime they can. Here, if you take it to a gas station, you hand them all your cash, and they guarantee the work for 90ft or 90 seconds. Whichever comes first. I know some Honduh guys that have spent a lot trying to get their cars to pass. Doing the DEQ merry-go-round.
up here in Wa its not that bad my 240 just failed but I am running rich I think the CTS is bad. But anywho if you really want to make your car pass kali smog do not go to FI unless you are willing to go all the way. the best way to beat those commis is to play the game right take it to a shop that is set up to work with emission make sure it is recognized by your local commis. have them diagnose it and fix what they say is bad yourself to save a little money. thats what I would do in kali unless I knew for sure what was bad
I'm also from Washington state, Everett; If I'm not mistaken, you can get a waiver after a 2nd emissions failure, providing you can show DOT Emissions that you had at least $150 (Has it increased?) of work performed on the car's emissions. But...and don't tell anyone...I register my car outta the smog zone HA HA!

Hi, sorry to bother you with a request rather than a suggestion, but I've been trying to find that module that says "A36-000 B00" on it. The junkyards around here don't have a single one because they've crunched everything that's older than 1990 (any older than that and the cars are rusted beyond belief, here in WI, so they don't bother to keep them). If you'd be willing to sell me the part, that would be absolutely great, considering that my car hasn't worked since January. Maybe would buy some other less-important stuff too if the price was right...
Please let me know,
Thanks.
