didnt look to hard did u... anyway... u can use a ga16de head but u have customize a bit.. the usual cai if u think it would help at all, the euro cam even though there was a link that listed the specs of a euro vs a us spec cam and they were almost identical, rims and brake up grades will give u better handleing and traction and stopping power etc etc etc

Never mine the ga16i.....go ahead and swap that baby out with either a ca18de(like me) or go all out and swap a sr20...this is going to give the power u need and want. ca18de swap is easy...but for the sr20 well......maybe someone else can help u on this one!!
Then if you don't wann do that, then u can just get wheels and tires and u could also get better handleing by taking a 1988 nissan pulsar nx se model and put sway bars front and back and even brake calpiers to help stop. Thas what i would do anyway.

You can use a de head on a ga16i? that's awesome. What's required for that?

You can use your tranny if you are puting in a GA16DE, or such. actuly I would recomend getting the block off the ga16 and use the rest of your stuff (head, mani's, ecu, ect)

GA14DE=crap?
GA16DE=110
CA18DE=125
CA18DET=175

I Agree. The SR20 would be a better swap. You need the 92-95 SR20DET Bluebird engine or you can use the newer SR20 Vortec Engine. The vortec is off the 99 (I think) and you would need the Sentra SER 5 Speed Tranny. You would need to custom some Mounts though.
SR20DET = 205 HP
SR20?? Vortec = about 240 HP

Problem is the SR20 Vortec is harder to buy parts to upgrade the power due to the fact that it is N/A and the Power of the Vortec does not really kick in til about 6500 RPM.

The SR20DET power band starts at 4000 RPM and is much easier to upgrade.

Either way if you were to swap out to the SR20, you would have the fastest "sleeper" on the block. If the SR20 can pull a 3100 LB Pulsar down the track in 13 secs, imagine how fast your Sentra would be!

the best engine swap for any b12 (buget wise) is the ca16de-ca18de its been done before boost boy and greenbean699 have done the swap. i hope greenbean dosent mind but here are pictures of his 87 sentra hatch with the ca18de in it http://us.f518.mail.yahoo.com/ym/ShowLetter/Front.jpg? at 113hp ca16de and 125hp ca18de i say thats way better than a ga16i build up. i hear a lot of people saying that they dont make any parts for this engine but so what there is companys out there that do custom work specially www.paeco.com they do anything you ever whant and there prices are relly good

ga16de head doesnt match holes/water passage on the ga16i block... no it doesnt fit. plus think about the twin cam chain setup youll have to custom fit...
