E15 Turbo install

I have a N10 with a E15 (carby) with no mods apart for extractors and exaust system. Would it be possible to install a T2 or T25 from a E15T. If so would I have to replace the carby? Would I be better doing a full engine swap?

Thanks

you'd have to do something about the carb, probably replace it. Carbs aren't the most fun with a turbo, If you can get an e15et and wiring harness and ecu, you'll find that more rewarding to drive than messing about with the carburetor.

You can turbo with a carb, but the stock carb/fuel pump will not be up to task for sure. A T25 is good for about 200HP, a T2 would probably be too small.

There's less written about turbocharging with a carb, hell carbs are kind of a "black art" in 2004. I was toying with the idea myself, but I might go EFI since I have the the manifolds now anyways.

This Book is very imformative, I would get it if you're really serious about tubocharging your car.

T2 is the perfect match for the 1.5 litre engine... boost is getting on at low rpm (2000) and at 5-6psi is good throu out the range of the engine ... (up till 6500rpm almost...)

HybridDET told me the other day that he was running a T2 but that it chocked his engine in the high range. He suggested a T25 for the E15/E16. T25 is small as it is, but I think with stock internals you'd be alright. The space between pistons 3 and 4 (I think its 3/4) is really small though, another percaution Hybrid warned me about.

That's what I meant, thank you. But the gap between all of them is small as it is.
