Hey folks new to site... My sister has a sentra ga16i engine. She had a coolant leak in what I have found out to be a (wax type fast idle cam) beside the injector.. above the dash pot. I fixed the leak with sealant I dont know if that was right or not, but any way it kept it from leaking... Know the main problem.......after she ran the car for a day or so the car was hard to start...then it would run rough....then cut off. It will start but you have to give it gas.. Not sure on what to look for, have been told an air bypass valve (not sure where it is...) or throttle post. senscr? any help out there from you folks would be appreciated. Diesel
This seems a really simple fix, but when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Mine is pretty cruddy and I experience similar symptoms, I just need to get around to picking up a new filter (Also, having just finished my swap, I told my Advanced Auto Parts crew that I wouldn't be seeing them for a while and just hate to eat my words!)
But, I know that that is a great five dollar fix for the symptoms she is experiencing.

I had a problem simular to this and it ended up being the injector. It was partically clogged causing a weird spray pattern. Find a new injector and try that. Don't know what they cost but I got mine from a junk yard for $5.00
(Also, having just finished my swap, I told my Advanced Auto Parts crew that I wouldn't be seeing them for a while and just hate to eat my words!)
