It should not be that difficult to bolt in since the 1.6/1.8 DOHC engine was available in the 88 pulsar just get all the mounts with the engine and it should just about bolt right in. You will need the tranny to I would guess not 100% but pretty sure. The fun part is wirring it in, the 87-90 sentra/pulsar's had a single wiring harness unlike the newer ones that had one for the engine and one for the chasis so have fun with that.

just get the whole wiring harness ... very easy to take off with the dash out ... engine harness should snap into the "in car loom" without a cut. youll need the mid back engine mount and passenger side (pretty sure for this one)...

You would also need the front mount as well and host of other things(too many to mention). Can I recommend the GA16i swap instead? You have a 20HP improvement over your current engine with the added benefit of using your old tranny, axles and able to bolt-on GA16DE header as well for more power(to regain the lost HP from a CA18DE swap). It is also a lot easier to swap/mod the wiring harness since both the E16i and GA16i are TBI, unlike the CA18DE. GA16i are also dime a dozen. CA18DE's are very rare as most guys here knows and parts like ignitors and coilpacks are quite expensive to replace and often breakdown. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Do a search on "CA18DE swap" and you'll have more than enough reading to keep you busy for quite a while.
