CA20E acting strange

Hi

Some time ago engine in my 87' Nissan Bluebird started to act strange but this was happening ocasionally. Recently what i'm about to try to describe happens really often and i have completely no idea what is wrong with it.
My english is not well but i try to describe it as simply as i can

When i'm driving my engine sometimes stalls and increses it's rotations slowly not as it should according to how much i've pushed the gas pedal in. It unstalls immediately and car accelerates normally when i push the gas pedal to the max even for a second. It unstalls also when i wait a while. The strange thing is that sometimes i can drive a whole day and it won't happen even once and sometimes it happens so often that it drives me crazy. The only thing i've noticed is that it almost never happens when engine is cold. Besides i think that it has a bit less power than it has before.
Recently i've replaced the distributor but it didn't help

That would be great if somebody could give me an idea what i should check/replace

I this one of the 8 spark plug engines? My first thought was a bad ignition module but you changed the distributor. Did you replace the distributor with a new or used one? Next thought is air flow meter. After that I'm thinking faulty connection somewhere, bad vacuum connection (cracked/broken hose), clogged fuel system or malfunction in fuel pump or pressure regulator.

These things are pretty tough to diagnose over the internet. It's going to take some searching and eliminating various possible problems.

Yes this is the 8 spark plug engine
I've changed distributor because my engine was dying unexpectedly http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php?t=46496 this is the thread about it that i started.
I've replaced the distributor with used one, but this was happening also with previous distributor.
