Replacing the E15 with the E16 engine?

My friend has '84 Sunny and he is going to swap E16 in to his car. He has now the E15, but will the E16 fit straight?

it should. e15/16's are virtually the same externally.

to the best of my knowledge the e15s and e16s are completely interchangable. externally they are the same, it's only different displacment.

only problem that i can see is the engine mount on the engine. on my E15et it was different from the E16 but it bolted up to the engine without any problem. just make sure you use the one on the b11.

yes the E13 should be easy to change to the E16.. (but youll need to use the ecu and wiring or carb for the E16 for fuel management or it will be way to lean)

As far as E15/E16 interchangeability: I'd keep the E15 flywheel/clutch in the car...
