'86 200sx starting problem

i have an 86 200sx (i know its a little old for this place but...) the security light is flashing on the dash. the motor will turn but i dont get any fire to the plugs or even the coil. dealership told me to lock and unlock the doors with the key and it should reset the security system but that didnt work. does anyone know what else i can try to get my car started?

try unplugging some relays and or fuses underneath the dash to reset the ignition kill /alarm system

Uh dude, the b14's are from 95-99. Also, try to find the section for your motor for this kind of a question. That would bring better results.

Just so you know your 200SX 86 is an S-12.

I would try to find out where the alarm unit is located. I know its a factory unit, but it still needs a brain. You will need to get ahold of some shematics for the alarm wiring. It sounds as if there is a signal active that really should not be (duh). Anyways find some schematics and find the control module for the alarm and your on your way. Maybe you can get lucky by pulling fuses and relays, but if there is always a signal when there shouldn't be then I think as soon as you plug the relay/fuse back in its going to still be bad.
