Reason: it's my thread, i can edit my posts all i want. especially when they're more informative.
Things you will need to convert an E16s equipped car to run an E15T:
--------
E15T Engine. ( the whole thing. )
GA16DE ECU
GA16DE Harness
GA16DE MAF
GA16DE TPS
GA16DE HVC and Power transistor
GA16DE Throttle body
GA16DE Fuel pump relay and connector
4 Fuel injector Plugs ( see image )
A'pexi S-AFC-II ( S-AFC-I would work i suppose )
--------
Bits 'n Pieces:
--------
replacement fuel hose
replacement vacuum lines ( silicone is nice but what about lines with fuel vapor that silicone hoses don't like??? )
replacement cabin heater hoses / radiator hoses / turbo cooling lines.
replacement turbo pipes if you're feeling spendy.
bosch fuel injector plugs
some weather pack connectors 1,2,3 and 4 pin types ( maybe a count of how many later... ) did a count, it's on page 2 or 3
--------
Things you might want:
--------
3 wire ( heated ) o2 sensor ( helpful with SACF for tweaking )
Nismo Euro Cam
intercooler ( i haven't looked yet to see which ones are commonly used )
Pro-Street, 12 circuit fuse block
lets you loose that silly fuse box under the dash and re wire things in a sane manner.
Know the parts:
--------
This shows the E15t compatable Fuel injection Plug and the GA16DE Plug
Note the key on the E15t plug. this is why the GA plug won't work.
this is the fuel injector on the e15t engine i have, I have seen a pic of 3 kinds.
GA16DE Apexi S-AFC II Install
I installed an afc today and thought id share the install since GA16DE is non-existant in the Apexi Book and it is a cheaper alternative to JWT.
Apexi ----------- ECU
Spliced
Red ------------- 12 volt ign (I picked a diff source not ECU)
Green ---------- Blue/Orange (RPM Signal, If you cant find it, look behind gauge cluster)
Purple ---------- White (ECU Pin?? Anyone with FSM wanna help?)
Knock sensor, I didnt use it yet...
Grey ------------ Yellow (Throttle Pos)
Brown ---------- Black (Close to ECU)
Black ------------ Black (On same wire above 1 cm behind)
After these are spliced, cut the Solid Green wire going from the ECU. Connect the the Apexi Yellow wire to the green wire going to the ECU. Connect the Apexi White wire to the green wire going into the MAF.
Once everything is ready, turn your ignition to start but don't start it. Let the Apexi load and go to ETC. Then Select Sensor Type. Select Hot-Wire
Sensor Number
14 14 This is for our B14 GA16DE MAF
02 14 This is for Z32 MAF on GA16DE
Sensor Calculation
1 In 1 Out
Next exit back to ETC and select Car Select. Set the CYL to 4 and the THR to the NE Arrow. Finally go to sensor check an make sure everything is reading. Then set your fuel map and turn on your engine and your ready. The book should tell you everything else you need to know about the Settings.
I'll get that post "sticky for a while and i'll make a nice clean up afterwards so we only keep to good stuff .. ill try to help you out a little if i can
Also buy a high pressure fuel pump
the older E16s engines had they're pump mecanical bolted to the block.

any and all info would help me, and anyone else trying this.
thanks for reminding me, I was looking today at the engine and where there would be the fuel pump on the e16s was something that looks like a fuel filter but with a line running to it from the intake plenum or manifold, I can't remember which now. I'm guessing that's some sort of boost compensating fuel pressure regulator. I mentioned a different fuel pump as a thing i needed initally and you said the stock one would be fine, you thought I was already fuel injected perhaps. I'll get one, I have a Holley one, but it only delivers 9psi or something and isn't suited to FI.
These things might not be broken, but i don't understand them.
1.) on the exhaust manifold near the o2 sensor there is this metal tube coming out of a bung and the tube hooks to nothing, but it looks like it had a wire in it at one point, what is that? There is a similar one somewhere else on the engine too. I'll include pics tomorrow.
First thing, i wasmistaken about the fuel pump.. as i taugh you had an E16i... you need about 35psi at it... not something very hi but the more, the better
on the exhaust downpipe .. that sensor would be the "too high exhaust temp" sensor... you wont get any wire from the ecu to plug it .. but if you got spare money to buy a gage, buy yourself a pyrometer and hook it up there with a new sensor. the bung will be the right size ive already tried to hook it up to an J-type thermocouple reader wich didnt came right.. must have been K-type
