Hi guys,

Can't figure out why my Pulsar has rough idle. It has been tuned up recently and also has a new EGR valve.

The idle is OK in park, and is worse in drive. Turning on the AC makes it the worst.

I removed and checked the idle contol valve and it tested fine. Any idea what could be the cause?

maybe the neutral idle is too low ... wath rpm is it on when in park ?? ... should be around 1100 ...

It runs at 1000 RPM in park, and about 700 RPM in drive with the AC on......

i got an pulsar NX e16s that has had some major idle issues... it stalls at 1000 rpm and was idling at 3500 with the clutch let out, when the clutch is Released it was stalling from lack of rpm, and damn if i can actually find the fifth gear... begins to wonder.... is it actually a four speed

vacuum leak would be your problem Pulsarproblematic as off Azucho98, yours might be due because of bad spark wires/plugs ... look more to me as an ignition prob.. cheap start : get a new rotor/cap ... check spark plug and change them if you have any suspicion and get new wires... the car's like struggling to stay alive...I was loosing spark like that for some time till i realise my wires were toasted (really) it was cracking in my finger (turbo too close lol) yours might be leaking near the head or not getting all the juice due to a bad rotor/cap... first thing i would check
