Is it possible to install the computer, intake manifold, head, exaust manifold turbo and downpipe, oil pan on my b12 without changing the block or is compression goin to come into play. How would all of this cost from a scrapyard

Get yourself all the parts from an e-15t engine. Same block and tranny but the rest of the engine including ECU are different.

the block is different in bore/stroke.... the e15-et as smaller bore (1.5ltre) and the crank it self throw a bit less, compression could be a problem here... your talking about the 1.6 block/head wich got 9.4 comp ration to compare with the 7.4 comp ratio of the e15et... wich is good to avoid detonation...

If you can, just add another head gasket, 2 should give you less problem with compression...

sure the thing is possible if you can get the compression a bit.. maybe to 8.5 or less, than youd have a e15-et stoker... heheh

The e15t and e16i have the same bore. Only the stoke is different. So basically you would have a stroker e15t.

why not just buy the entire motor instead. It would probably be cheaper and run better in the long run. It's a nice set up too...

In that case just buy an entire engine and tranny together. Gonna be hard to find but well worth the trouble.

If one finds this motor, would it be a direct bolt on? I mean in regards to engine mounts and other attachments. Has anybody done this? Anyone? I am asking since I have read within the forum that an engine swap with the SR20DE and CA18's envolves a lot of cutting and adjustments to the body/engine bay. So I thought, after reading the Chilton's manual, that the engine's quite the same (at least to me) and that it might be a little less of a job as swapping with a SR20DE/CA18DE.

advice ???

The e15t should use the same mounts because it is the same block as the e16. I think the tranny mounts are probaly the same too but I'm not sure. blownb310 and Ryco both have e15t engines.

***** There never was an E16 turbo head. You must mean the E15T head. It should say 15M on it. Yes, you would need a ton more parts to make an E15T engine. Yes, the blocks are the same, but the E15T has an additional oil pressur hole drilled and tapped for the turbo's oil feed line. It also has a water to oil cooler mounted where the oil filter mounts. Unless you have ever seen an E15T engine assy up close and personal, you would have no idea how many unique parts they had. Even the front engine limiter mount is different. Instead of a rubber dog bone type mount, it had a mini liquid filled shock absorber type mount. The manual tranny cars also had a larger clutch surface on the flywheel. The E15T used a 200mm clutch, as opposed to the 180mm clutch for the[B11's] and 190mm for the [B12] cars. I've still got my complete E15T engine here for sale. I'm only asking $200 for it, but you'd need to pick it up. I'm in upstate, NY.

so it would be esier and more efficient to just get the whole engine and swap it in? would i need to change the transmission too? i have a manual trans right now.

pardon my ignorance on the subject

i would be interested in the engine but i'm in alabama thats the only problem. maybe i could find one around here
