E16 flywheel

so, i'm looking for a clutch for fiances geo thats not expensive (having to go with oem it seems), but anyhow, found a lighweight aluminum flywheel for the Pulsar through Clutchmasters. only downside is $472...if i was a rich man i'd try it.

I spoke to these people a couple of months back, they'll lighten and balance your factory flywheel for $160 plus shipping. I think I am going to get one cut when I do my clutch.

Looks like it would be a good alternative.

the stock flywheel on my 87 e-16 weighed 19 lbs. I got it down to 13 lbs. using a brake lathe.

Wow, you really did well on the weight removal!
I cut mine on a brake lathe also, removing material mostly from the backside of the flywheel. If I remember right, I got about 4 lbs. off of it. I had it rebalanced afterwards. It was definately worth the effort.
