Aiv Valve
In the air filter there is a valve which is connected through a thin hose in the intake manifold in the same place that the hose from the valve cover get in ( they communicate before to enter in the manifold) Now the question is what is the function of this valve. I remove it, and I discover an increase in the rpm of the engine. These seems to add air in the intake manifold and now the engine works without this valve for more than a weeke, and run fine. The cosumption is about 8.2l/100 Km, in town, which I think it is fine. Also because of the increase in rpm it seems that the carburettor is not adjusted correctly? Does it impact negatively the engine in long term? Prior to remove it, it seems that it was always closed (maybe defective).
