Question Cracked E15ET head

I have been running a E15ET head on a E13 block with impressive results untill it cracked between the exhaust valve and the spark plug hole on cylinders 2 and 3. is this common with this head or is it just down to the fact that the engine was running a high compressoin ratio?

I have seen a few crack over the years, but I wouldn't say it is common. Has this head ever been overheated or seen detonation due to insufficient octane?
