I’m an owner of a Nissan Prairie.
Because I haven’t found the Prairie in the forum, I don’t know if this car is called Prairie in other countries than Europe, too. According to the licence the car is 90th Nissan M11 with 67kW – a kind of mini van. The engine's serial number is CA 20 63 70 33. It is a twin spark engine with fuel injection.
Now the questions:
Is the car out of central Europe also called Prairie?
Is the engine the so called CA - engine?
Does anyone has a manual for this engine or the whole car in electronically form?
Could you possible send the manual to me?
Does you know why the engine is bucking during load in low engine speed?
pop the hood. on the top left-hand side of the firewall, there should be a silver badge mounted there. On it, it says the serial # as well as the tranny # and engine code. If you could tell us the engine code, it might make it easier to help.. although an engine bucking back and forth probably isn't a model-specific problem.. sounds like the engine is misfiring, or some pistons aren't firing at all..
could you maybe elaborate more on the problem?

It may be like the Axxis vans.....sort of a hybrid station wagon/mini van.
Sounds like you've got a CA20 engine....if it's carbureted it will be a CA20S, if it's fuel injected it's a CA20E.
If it's fuel injected you may have a bad air flow meter. You also may have problems with the distributor...cracked magnet or bad ignition module.

i'm sorry...but my god. Prairie is the Stanza Wagon Exact same thing. CA20E, at least should be. I've heard that in australia they had the CA20S in 86. bucking at low idle, sounds to me like you could have an ignition problem or computer problem with either air sensor or fuel injectors. best bet is to check the ecu for codes, its under the drivers seat....i'm not sure how easy it is to do with the seat still in but you turn a screw (it is marked) that turns on diagnostic mode, then there are two lights a red one and green one ( or is it green one and red one..?) anyhow, they flash to show a code, i'm sure someone remembers which color does which cause its been awhile for me. But check that and see what codes you come up with.

wow thats kinda cool, i didn't know they had that kind of stuff over there. I kinda like the old style mirrors on the fenders, and a clock by the rear view mirror?? thats cool. Although a E15 would be anemic...and a CA18S, thats kinda weird too...learn somethign new every day

...i want a third row seat nissan should have had that option in the states, would have been a big selling point along with the dual sliding rear doors.
How come everyone else gets good stuff and we dont? they had a CA18ET Stanza in the mid 80s

Oh man....those Stanza wagons are hideous....there's an abandoned one in the parking lot where I work. It should be getting towed away any day now.

Hehehe...on the upside, the M11 front springs and struts are the recommended combo for a B11....will give you a rally capable front suspension...should work on a B12 too.

this is wayyy off topic, but the wagon is a very good car. so its a box on wheels and either ugly brown or horrible blue...even white...but it gets good gas mileage, holds a shit load of stuff and can be somewhat quick
