can i adavance timing in throttle body e16i?

sorry for stupid questions and yes i did several searches. im a newbie.

i have an 88 pulsar with e16 fuel injected with an eccs in it. the guy i got it from put this engine in and says its a rare jap 1.5l.?

anyhoo i race this car on a 1/4 mile dirt oval. i need more power!! i raced an 88 accord with a carb before and i advanced the timing alot and got way more speed. can i do this to my computer controlled fuel injected pulsar?

any other tips/opinions on how to get speed while remaining stock would be appereciated. the only thing non stock is the lobak racing muffler which is allowed. i know about high octane gas and drilling holes in the plastic air filter cover synthetic oil (50,00 mile engine) but need more tips so i can beat the preludes with thier 2.0l 16 valves.

if it's been swapped to a 1.5L then it's the E15e? i'm not sure, but if so, maybe you should consider a turbo.
