hey everyone. If ya didn't know, i got in an accident in the pulsar and it also stopped running properly.. bad rings, bent valves... a mess. Anyway, today I bought an '86 corolla. it's some kind of sohc 4cyl engine. has 210000km (125000 miles), and has been owned by the same guy since it was new. It's in immaculate shape. I got it for $500cdn (~$350US). The engine is an AE82, and the car is automatic (first automatic i've ever owned). a bit of rust on the fenders is the only imperfection... It runs perfectly. My pulsar is probably going to get written off in the next week or so. However, i'll still be around here once in awhile lending small bits of info, and I also have some parts to get rid of as well. so, pm me if you need an ignition module, coils, or a wiring harness! anything else you want me to harvest, lemme know soon!

Cool beans. I also have a carolla but it's a 91 with a 4AFE DOHC w/auto. fast as hell.

You should check out the AE boyshere it should have anything you would want.. sad days for the Nissan but hey you can get another some day.

Is it a 12 or 16v? It's obviously a 1.6l right? That car will run forever, or until the timing chain snaps from neglect. Very good buy.

yeah, i dont gotta worry about going too far from town in this thing there's even a sticker on the timing cover that says the belt was changed 15,000km ago.
