I let the car set up for a month or two, it started a couple of times since i started messing with it again, both times on warm days, but does not start and has no fire. I discovered a leaking fuel line from the tank and replaced the 2 main lines(with copper lines as i could not find steel) but it did nothing for the starting of course. I pulled the plug, set coil, and grounded plug and watched, no arc. The last time it started was on a warm day after i had checked fire and had none. Sounds crazy to me. I thought it might be a faulty relay but my chilton manual is vague on the SE model. The cam pos. sensor appears ok and the coils were replaced late 2003 when my power control module went flakey it also was replced, and I even tried the old module as it would run just not very well. HELP i'm going nuts.
Try troubleshooting the primary circuit: the 12-volt from battery to key switch to the coils. If they check out OK, then I'd suspect the distributor. The distributors are the weak link in the Nissan ignitions. I'd suspect yours took the big $#!+. Best of luck.

thanks for the reply, this is the ca1.6de and has no distributor so i'm glad that weak links has been treated. But the chilton manual is very weak on this model and makes tracking wires and relays and most other stuff hard. Do you know what pin the power tansistor relay comes from on the eccs computer module? I did not mention that the only code I got was a 44 thottle valve, but I dont think this model has one. I do have supply lines to the coils but dont think I can get a good reading on the signal line with an analog meter, thanks again.

I have the same car, ha. And let me tell you, I let that car sit around for about 3-4 years. The biggest thing Ive replaced is the tranny in mine. Then it wouldnt start. Got a new battery, but it still needed a pull start. It works fine now. But, now it needs a right CV axle, and a 5th gear synchro. Its a fun car to drive, but its a beeyotch. Cause once one thing breaks..it all does haha. I love it though. Ill try and figure out your problem, cause I imagine..Ive had it happen.
hmm if you decide you need a new ignitor module, hit me up. i've got a couple extra.
Sorry I've been off a while, I had a heck of a virus hit and it took a couple of days to cleanse my sys. but i'm back. I think the ignitor is the module right before the coils? I had one go out and got a used one that ran for a while but maybe its out again, I need to check it but this manual is basically garbage for this model and i'm not sure how or if I can check it, or its signal, without a pinout on the brain. What do you want for a module?
I guess you may need ketsup with that mustard?
