ca16de mods?

What kinda mods can you do on the ca16de? If I get this 87 pulsar nx is there places that sell stuff for it or is everything gonna have to special order? I've looked around and havent really found anything. I ain't gonna do to much with if I get it. Probably some simple stuff like intake, exhaust and clutch. Also do the ca16de have plug wires like most cars? When I looked under the hood I couldn't find any nor distributor. probably looking in wrong place but then again I'm used to the ga16de in my 97 sentra

If you can't find any plug wires, you probably have some of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...473408272&rd=1 (coil packs) hiding under the center piece between the valve covers. The exhaust can usually be done at any good muffler shop, intake is usually a custom job since I've never seen stuff like that for this engine, but I don't mind fabricating stuff for my car as it is "fun" to me. And you're not going to find a distributor either, you have a crank angle sensor on the front of your timing belt cover.

most mods will have to be custom made, like exaust, but they do make headers, hard to find though, lightend flywheels(dont know where to find them) you can also get some pulleys machined, and intake you will have to get those universal kits, as for suspension and braking, a good suspension upgrade, you will have to get 91-94 sentra parts, they will fit ont the pulsar, and as for brakes, you can buy some cross drilled, very hard to find too, or swap your front brakes for nx2000 front brakes

the ca16de doesn't use a plug-wire/distributor setup; there is a silver box mounted on the right-hand side of the cylinder head that controls the sparking. the wires from there lead to 'coilpacks' which are connected to the plugs in the cylinder head. if you remove the plastic piece between the valve covers that says 'twin cam 16 valve' you will be able to see the coilpacks and if you remove those you find the spark plugs. There is no distributor.
