Cool Howdy!

Wavin' from Everett, WA area! Red '87 Pulsar here, love 'em. Welcome to the Nissan Funny Farm; Will that be lithium or Thorazine?

Okay, so this car is pretty fun to drive. But i want to do something crazy!!
Any ideas. Convertable, rally car, just anything really cheap or free that I can do. I'm not worried about breaking it.

I already turned the distributor towards the firewall, was this correct?
How bout a hotter coil?
Some racing gas?

read some of the threads around here about "soupping up" the car.

And if you want to have some fun with it try SCCA Solo

you don't want to chop the top or anything like that, the roof is a very important part of the chassis and the car is very weak and flexible without it

Yeah that would be pretty bad. I searched around for a while. I don't want to spend any money. I'm pretty broke as it is and there is no use modding a car i just want to play with.

I might put some bigger wheels/tires on it. does this car have a rev limiter??
my tach says 6 but it will go higher ( accompanied by a nasty noise!)

Looks like i am going to pick your part on the weekend, maybe i'll find something interesting.

The new guy's got an '86 Pulsar; '83-'86 Pulsars didn't come with t-tops as standard equipment like the '87-'90s did. I've seen the N12s with sunroofs, but not t-tops.

as far as anyone knows no rev limiter. I've had mine to 8k+. There is no power up there so don't even try, just kills your motor

That, my friend, is the beginning of "Valve-float territory"; Don't get all crazy about hangin' out there, or you'll need another head.

LOL, I hear ya! Subaru, back in the early '80s, bragged that they had no redline, but they still run like shit. I see so many '96-'99 Legacys around here that run on 3 cylinders...
