Anybody ever seen one, on both of my CA's they have the heavy ass multiple belt pulleys and I'm trying to figure out a way to replace that thing with something lighter/smaller, I only need one belt for my alt. and water pump. Perhaps a pulley from a later model engine would bolt on? I could stamp my own timing marks on it if I had to so I'm not worried about that.
I've thought about it, I could do it myself or even have the machine shop at my votech do it, but it would be sooo nice to not have some ghetto pulley on the CA, it would still weigh quite a bit too, I'm trying to get the rotating mass of the engine trimmed down a bit, I've already got my eye out for an aluminum flywheel.
I didn't see one on their site( i'll check again) I'm gonna try to talk to the instructor in the machining class tomorrow about getting ahold of some aluminum stock.
I couldn't ask the machining instructor today because he's having knee replacement surgery(ouch!), but when he comes back I'll definitely try to have one (or maybe two) made. But I did get to work on my custom valve covers! I'm not going to be using any of the PCV crap on the CA so I can shave all the fittings off the VC's except for one which I will run to a catch can with a breather on it. It's gonna be soooo nice when they're done!
Here's a little sneak peek- http://community.webshots.com/photo/...28674363HHJdsJ
The VC's look pretty good. You gonna powder coat or paint them or leave them bare? I would be inclined to leave that nice aluminum matte finish. Matches the intake pipe. I have no aesthetic sense for engine dressing though.
I like the bare look too but I will most likely have them powdercoated midnight blue along with a few other under the hood items since that's what color the car will be eventually.
hmm...aluminum pulleys...wonder if they would work on the CA20E?

I don't know. Maybe take some measurements???and I'll compare them to my pulley.
If I remember I'll try to tomorrow....but they're harder than hell to get to
