I have a 1991 nissan sentra currently got the 1.6 carby motor i think is ga16?

I have a 6grand budget to play with for either a motor swap to the ca18det or just go out and buy a turbo skyline haha...do you think my budget would be fit for the job and how much work is there as it also has drums on the back and would have to get disks most likely for cert?

I would like to do this motor swap as it would be a uniqer car that a evo wrx etc and would hopefully leave them with abit of work hahahaha if use could help me out that would be fantastic.

Hey i noticed you are here in california and have a 87 sentra, I have a 86 sentra w/a 1.6 and 3 speed auto I asked about engine swaps on this thread for it,can you give me any advice or point me in the right direction? I am not looking for a speed demon, I'm just tired of getting run over by geo metros on the freeway(I would like to keep an automatic) Thanks for any info you give.

hi, CA16DE.. have you got the ca 18 det engine, and already swap to your car? if it's so, did you find major problem(s) to swap it? because I've got a ca 18 det rwd (automatic) "run-well" engine and try to swap to my nissan sport coupe. I live in jakarta. maybe we may contact each other, sharing the experience I may need.. thanks..
