NEVER put the plugs in that head hot. it'll crack like a mofo.
Update: My MPG E15 has a head similar (or identical) to 11041-17M03 turbo heads...
I now also have several turbo heads (new and used) that i might be willing to sell for the right price... PM me for details.

Hmmm.. I'll have to look into my mexican sentra to see what's in it.
What head would the E16ET sport? I'm still unsure if the sport coupés down here really came with the E16ET or not. At least the owner's manual does say it did. With 106hp.

i'm at a complete loss there... i think the E15ET had 106hp, and an E15ET would make sense, but how the crap would they get an E16 with low enough compression to turbo? especially with the headgasket problems these engines had...
anyone else got info on an E16ET?

Update: added 33M head. incidentally, i've one for sale. i don't know the deck thinckness, but you could cut it to up the compression, and it does have the high-flow, low-swirl intake ports...

Hi Guys,
Just a note here. I read in the Nissan motorsport catalog that quote: "Compression increases in E-series engines should be obtained with the use of alternate pistons and NOT by cutting the cylinder head [OE thickness = 120mm/4.72"].
Another reason not to cut the head is that you will retard the cam timing considerably, and the timing belt will be too long as well.
Kewl! This is the thread I was looking for. In my quest to build up another E16i for my beloved Pulsar, I dug up an old head from a Japanese crate engine swap I did 3 years back. This head is the 52A; What I can tell you is...
* Valves are 37mm intake/30mm exhaust
* Combustion chambers are full-concave
* 10mm passage drilled through head from front to back between
cylinders 2 and 3
* 3mm hole next to #3 intake port clear into coolant jacket
* Separate rocker and valve cover studs
I still have the 33M head that came off the donor engine I got recently; For $75, I got a great deal! Little to no wear on a 117K E16s; You can still see the cross-hatch marks on the cylinder walls! But...can anyone tell me anything about the 52A head?

That depends on how much you cut the head. There's a reason why the camshaft pulleys have a second camshaft pin locator notch; It compensates for any re-decking of the head.
