3 wire O2 sensor, Mixture heater. One crazy idea?
Okay, I'm guessing besides the signal from the O2 sensor, the other 2 wires would be for Pos & Neg for heating it up, right?
The Mixture heater.
Has 2 wires going to it, and comes on when the engine is cold, aye?
My car has no Mix heater hooked up (plug goes nowhere.)
My car has a ONE wire O2 sensor.
Anyone else follow?
Could it be possible to use the 3 wire sensor using the mixture heater's rather convienient conditional on/off state? I suppose both are relayed connections anyways, but any info and ideas would be great. (This could probably work by splitting the wires from the mix heater too if it's still in use, but I have the plug leading nowhere, soooooo.....)
This could be the start of a (stupid?) cold-driving 'upgrade' for us single wire O2 sensor guys.
