Transmission how-to question

So I need to mate my transmission to my motor this winter before I drop it in and I want to replace the axle seals and the linkage boot on the tranny among other things. I also want to remove and clean the throwout bearing fork (whatever its called...its the thing holding the t-o bearing). Onyway, I have no idea how to remove the peice on the end of the shift linkage so that I could slide a new boot onto the shaft. It looks like there's a pin there but I wanted to ask before i tried to pound anything out. It's the same deal on the throwout bearing thing...looks like two roll pins, one inside the other...not sure if its podssible to remove that either. Any hints?

tap them out carefully. one at a time. if they get a little compressed, gently pry them open a bit before re-installing them.
