Ok, i just bought this Pulsar like a few weeks ago. I've been told the engine and tranny were rebuilt and i believe it cause it runs strong. but anyhoo...i dunno what this tube coming from under the air intake does. i can't find anything it should plug into and all logic tells me it doesn't belong there and all manuals i've looked at dont show it. the hole is plugged up with alot of junk too so its obviously been sucking some stuff through it, i've taken it off for now seeing as how it doesn't serve any purpose but if anyone can tell me what it does tell me. thnx
thats without the tube on it....
and this is with tube on it.
btw, without those bolts holding the air intake down on the head cover it makes a horible vibration sound at deaccleration

the tube your refering to is the water bypass kindda of thing it let oil/water drop behind the engine ... but the tube like you got now wont let got water ... should be hanging straight down ...

i thought of that but all logic tells me that it would suck up stuff instead of put water out....and i could chop up the airbox but not worried about it yet...wanna do a GA16 tbi first then go from there

I haven't had any preblems with water getting into my airbox with it fully open, even with my amateur off-roading excursions . Anyways, that's cool that you've got that much patience, good luck on the TB swap.
BTW, what site do you host your pics on?
the tb swap wont be for awhile. gonna wait till i have the money and a full weekend to do it. and i have to find a TB. probably find one in a junkyard but who knows. and i hosted my pics on my aol site
BTW, if you are really in to the amateur offroad excursions try looking into a Nissan Stanza Wagon. They look ugly and aren't very fast but they have 4x4 and are very fun. used to take mine offroad all the time but it had already had the hell driven out of it so now it sits...and when ever I try to start it it makes its own smoke screen.
