Head gaskets ....

Does the E15 and E16 heads use the same head gasket. Someone I know had water and oil mixing when he used a 1.6 headgasket, E16 block and E15 head. Fiting an E15 gasket solved his problem.

I know the engines are identical but then how does one explain his problem. My guess is he bought a gasket for a GA16 engine.

Any thoughts....

as far as i know the E15 and E16 use the same head gasket... and a GA16 gasket would not fit AT ALL. as far as the leak goes, i'd guess improper installation...
