I recently got a (almost fully stock) 1987 Pulsar NX with the E16i (1.6L SOHC) engine in it. And compared to my parents '92 Dodge Spirit (V6 140 HP) it has NO POWER. It's sad... so, as my first car, I WANT TO SOUPE IT UP!
What should be cheaper? Re-building or getting the CA16 DE (1.6L DOHC) which should get me from 70 to about 113 HP or modding my current engine to death. It's in very good condition now, the car has a new exhaust system and fuel pump. But nothing fancy for more power.
Either way, it's going to be a while before I have enough money to do anything. I just would lke an idea so I know where I'm headed with my car. (I love my little Pulsar!)
