Check out the pic on this auction. I know we've seen this motor listed before. Last time I think it was going for $450 and nobody bid. Helluva price but if this guy really wants to attract buyers he needs to take a pressure washer to one of those engines and take some fresh pics.

Unless I'm mistaken this guy is a bud of boost_boy and he vouches for the condition of these motors. If I had the cash I'd buy one right now.

Yeah, same here (if I still had the Pulsar that is). I really need to put together some notes for myself from the postings here of what all I'd need physically to do the swap (electronics aside). That motor in an N12 Pulsar would be quite a lot of fun to cruise around with.

Those engines just have surface dust on them for sitting for so long. The dirtier they look, the cheaper they sell for. I would be wary of an engine that's too clean or unusually clean especially for the age of the motor. Good buy "minute rice sentra"! When these engines are gone guys, they will not be sold at that price again, so i suggest someone take them because I think he has like 1 or 2 left.

Yes but you forget we are a seriously cheap crowd Hell, even I only spent $200 on my engine. Of course I have spent over $800 in parts and machine work to get my turbo Grand Am back on the road. It'll probably be more like $1500 before I'm done.
If I had the cash on hand I'd snap one of those engines up right now. Even if I couldn't get to the project for a good long time I know a CA18DET may never be had again for that price.
Besides, I just go a line on a complete light oak king size bedroom set, like new, for $700. Guy payed over $2,500 for it new. He's getting courts martialled and needs the cash.
