ok..just to clarify....
i am a FULL supporter of MPFI....
honestly...i am also USUALLY against the use of carbs...for the very reasons that whats his name says...however. there are exceptions. i look at carbs as just another tool to use. depends on you preference...a healthy pair of webbers or any other set up int he right hands can be leathal. so can a properly tuned stand alone engine mngt. however, an MPFI set up with more computing power than that of the apollo 11 space rockets is not were im going to invest my money on this car (that will be reserved for the upcoming 3rd gen Rx7 hehe)
now..i have used carbs on dirtbikes for years, and know the advantages, and disadvantges..
i think this motor. for the application im utilizing it for. (in NA trim) MIGHT benifit from slightly less sophisticated fuel mngt.
we ll see what happens.
Side note: carbs are also harder to tune for nitrous in my opinion on small motors...which were i am headed with this motor, to the tune of at least a 100shot direct port system....
like i said...we ll see. just some ideas..hehe
stay tuned......

WM, have you taken a look at the MegaSquirt system? You can do a completely user programmable ignition/fuel system for just a couple hundred bucks or so, maybe less since you should already have the MPFI hardware. Just a thought...

Yes, quicker than I can keep with for sure. Now if I could just finish soldering one together and put TBI on my '84 B2 I'd have fuel injection on everything I own!

I've got a whole setup that's been on my kitchen table for months now, I just haven't gotten back to finishing it. There's also another board/chip/sensor in a bag that was going to go onto the Pulsar, but I won't do anything with that until the Bronco's finished.

I've got the same as you. I'd love to integrate ignition, but for now I'll just use the Duraspark electronic ignition that's on it. Simple and doesn't require any factory electronics to control, so it's a good match until I tie ignition to MegaSquirt.
