i had to get your post out of the modification list to kept it clean and on topic !! so here your own thread !!

i taught canadian 87 didnt had the carb... i think it is still a good car if it has no rust and surely would make a nice 1st car ... maybe you can deal him to go lower since you ll have to put repairs on it... but at 1000$ it is great !!

I bought mine for $1200 from a would-be mechanic who figured he'd eventually fix it up.. I whittled him down to half of what he wanted. Had to do a lot of work, though. If you can get a car like that, despite it's monstrous, staggering 69hp, It's a steal of a deal in my book. although I do have a questionable book. And if you decide you want to step it up a notch in the future, I'm sure you'll find someone here who knows how.

***** That's cool. I'll bet most people on this board don't know what an SVX is.

I do I do!!! And I would kill to have one, but only with a Legacy 5-speed conversion. What kind of "sports GT" comes only with A/T???

BTW 69 hp is really deciving because the engine does produce a good amount of torque at low RPMs and feels alot more powerful then it really is.

I helped a bud put cross-drilled/sloted rotors and metal master pads on the rear of his '92 SVX a couple days ago. He'd love to get rid of it. It's still an auto but it has a few nice mods. If you're interested lemme know.

acctualy i love the SVX but mine in black and i hate black cars i just got it cheap and wanted to see how it was for a car...i am gonna get another either pearl or red and put a 5 or 6 speed in it...it is a great winter car...i have driven through 8" of snow with all seasons on it and had good traction...it is a wild and very fun car..the 230HP is not enough though and there is no space under the hood so id have to deal with that.

If any one is interested mine is for sale at $4000 and in am in WV.

There's a manual SVX up here, it's that maroon color that 90% of 240SXs are.

Anywho, Simon, you're pretty much looking at the exact same car that was my first car, tis an '88 Sentra XE, carbed E16i, 69hp monster. It really is a great, reliable little car. It may not be the strongest car on the road, but it will go when you want it to. I've beaten a stock Del Sol off the line with mine. Just make sure you're good to it and it'll be good to you.

all of the '88 Sentras were injected, I find it easy to tell the E16i and E16s apart by the # of wingnuts holding the air filter lid on.
1 wingnut=carbed, 2 wingnuts=injected
