I own an '87 Pulsar with the single cam and 5-speed. I have owned her for nearly 2 years now with no major problems or issues. I do all work on her myself and have yet to even touch the engine or tranny....love the car and just wanted to see how many other Pulsar nuts are out here
sry pics got blocked.... http://mtmaniac.8k.com/catalog.html
I've had mine for exactly one year and 10 days... these cars do seem to run great, I've only had to shell out cash for new hatch struts and new tires for the front. They were worn when I got the car... mine's got 86k miles on it or so. (I just passed 140k km) and still going strong!
Oh, yeah. And mine's an '87 as well Go figure, eh?
Originally posted by yafayu i have a 1987 pulsar too, what was your mileage when you bought? here is a link to my picshttp://www.cardomain.com/id/yafayu
I got her with like 120000 on her and now have a little over 134000 ....still can exceed 100mph has AC and yes she is kinda clean....under the hood isnt included with that lol
Originally posted by spelch I have an 87 pulsar too, but i have the DOHC (CA16DE) 'edition'. Same color, too.
your car looks great. The body is in impressive condition. mines a bit run down..
mine is an aftermarket color so i dont know how close she is to original but i love the color. I had to do some body work on the car to make her look that good..including hood, hatch, and t-tops replacment and paint matching...and replaced the windshield. serves me well...wish i could afford a new spec V right now lol..love to have one of those also or a Z...ahhh the life of not having any money
yeah. the biggest issue with mine is a dent in the door beside the handle... has anyone tried those 'as seen on tv' things that looks kinda like a gear puller, with suction cups? they're about 20 bucks and i dont wanna waste the money if it's useless...

Last October, a 1987 Pulsar landed in my lap...serious! A guy in Black Diamond, WA had it and gave it to me, complete with new Cooper Cobra 50-series tires, 7-spoke aluminum Ultra rims, Magnaflow exhaust, Clarion AM/FM/CD player...It's red w/black interior, only one tiny dent in the passenger door, E16i engine...and the auto tranny was almost toast.
He got it from an auction as a repo just for the engine; His daughter's Sentra died and before he could drag the Pulsar home, she got another car. So he fixed it, sold it for a grand, and wound up getting it back from the tow company after it was abandoned. He gave me the car because he figured he made his money already...I didn't put up a fight. Besides...he had it advertised with no luck and told me "Take it now or the wrecking yard gets it!"
5 days later, the auto tranny died, so I put a 5-speed in it; The conversion was hyper-easy. Even the driveshafts were reusable! All I have to do now is replace the front struts and balljoints. That's it. I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow, weather willing.
I looked on both the title and the car's VIN under the glass; It says 'N3', not 'N13'. Is there something I'm overlooking?

VIN isn't supposed to say N13. If you look on the tag on the firewall on the passenger side though it'll say KN13 <---thats the real model number
