Hi, I have an 87 pulsar with the CA16DE engine. I'm replacing the left axle, and i've got it pulled out. The problem is, the boot ripped because of the support underneath where the axle goes. So I was investigating and I noticed that there is a little strut, or something, that comes off of the swaybar and attatches to the support, and I don't know what the strut thing is called. It's like 3 inches long, but I bet it's responsible for the torn boot.
If anyone knows what this part is called, That would help me out a lot. The guesses I've ventured are either a 'swaybar strut', or 'swaybar anchor'. I can't really think of anything else, but i need to buy one.
Thanks.
I think it's called th swaybar link, but I can't remember. This is gonna drive me nuts!!! If I remember I will post. I'm sure any parts supplier will know what you are talking about.

Actually, come to think of it, it's a CV axle bootripper! The Nissan parts guy calls it by its nontechnical name: 'Employment Security'!
That was pointless. Its a stabilizer/sway bar end link. I've heard swaybar stabilizer before too cause thats how the computers at CSK write it to save space and the person behind the computer doesn'tknow any better. And if it rips off your CV boot then you have something way out of place.
