JDM E15ET 160 HP!

Wow, just saw this exspensive little jewel on ebay. It comes with the ecu, but I don't see any harnesses. I wonder what transaxle Nissan used with it? What do you guys think? Go to: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33615

That's really not a bad price for engine, tranny, and ecu. Consider some guys are paying much more for less horsepower (125hp CA18DE). Plus that little sucker would bolt right in to any B11 or B12. Helluva find.

Well, thats for sure is a nice engine and tranny combo, but i thing im sure about is that it doesnt deliver 160hp...it is stock, dont forget... but 1 thing good is the the better intake manifold... the exhaust one have longer runner and would be better is it was wraped with insulation tape to keep the heat inside it... and an intercooler would help to !... for about the same price i could buy a Ca18det from an importer in mtl with the ecu (but no tranny) still this engine is the easiest one to swap in the Sentra and the wiring isnt a big deal to update.. if someone buy it i can provide the diagrams for it

***** You're probably right, Martin. The ad says 160 hp.....maybe they meant 160kw? I thought maybe it was true, because I thought of Honda's B16 engines that are rated at 160 -170 hp stock without a turbo. I guess that'd be asking alot from an E15.

160kw?? Big no-no. 160 kW would be like equivalent to about 214bhp!!....1hp = 746W

From the searching I did, a stock E15ET came with 89kw which comes out to about 120hp.

Of course this motor is supposed to have only 35k on it so maybe it's something newer than we know about.

Hell, I got my 125hp CA18DE so I'm pretty happy for now but that would be a sweet little engine for a B11/12 even at only 120hp stock.

Did your 89kw is the RRC engine ?? or BRC (black and red rocker cover)... this one is the jap spec... so most be a bit higher than those 120hp because of the intake longer runner and that exhaust almost equal lenght turbo headers, boost should be there a bit early.. a would think 125-128hp would really be nice....

Damn, that's not bad for the little engine that most americans no nothing of. Hell, the one I have was selling for the same price and I can guarantee that it is way more complete than that one.

That engine is very expensive. I stay in South Africa and I got one thats exaclty the same for $400.

It makes 89kw(120hp) in standard form and with minor modifications you can get 115hp at the wheels.

I think its a great engine but try importing from Australia. Im sure it will work out cheaper that way.
