I want to put larger tires on my Sentra. Not sure what it has stock, but whatever is on it is stock. This, at the request of my wife. We are a family in to vehicles with big tires LOL

What can I put on the car to get rid of the little cookie cutters on it? What's the max size stock? Also is there any merit to actually lifting the car 1-3 inches? How can that be done? Its just too low for our needs, which include camping out off-road. I have a massive landcruiser that handles the serious off-roading, but I'd like for the Sentra to be able to follow on the nasty dirt roads with rocks here and there (not big ones mind you). I'm not really into going fast, just going everywhere LOL.
I have reasonable expectations of what to expect in a 20 year old front wheel drive car, and don't want to ruin the car by modifying it too much or in the wrong way. I'm into doing things the RIGHT way and don't want to cheese out the car.
Any suggestions?
