max compression ratio for E-series?
Has anyone ever thrown a rod or cracked a piston in an E-series after increasing compression? I beleive the motor starts out at 9.4:1, but with the E15 head on an E16 block I think compression could reach 10.5:1 or maybe even 11:1. As long as I use high-octanne fuel, should I be concerned?
wath head do you plan to put on the E16 ??... if its a 33M the ratio wont change at all.... as for the other im searching a bit for the actual comp ratio but i wont think it will reach more than 10:1... i think blowns 13:1 race engine is fueled with hi octane only and it runs well.. (please blown comment on this)

I have actually calculated the CR using the 15M head with standard E16 block and pistons and I believe a NISMO gasket and it came to about 11:1. If my sources are correct, the piston dish is 17cc the gasket is about 5cc and the combustion chamber is 17.9cc.

But make sure you have good sparkplugs and ignition wires for good stong sparks. That engine is gonna be running at the limit, and you don't want it to misfire.
