Anyone got good clutch (street/race) setup ideas ??.... i want it to hold 200lbs at least... so The ACT HD00 is out of question ... maybe the HD4R could be nice but still if the pressure is good to 165lbs... it wont resist my engine ... anyone got some other option for me or ideas ???

What engine are you working with? If it's an E15ET, centerforce has a dual friction setup. Look for a clutch for an '83 Pulsar.

the thing is that the engine is an E15t but i cannot use the E15t flywheel because the ring gear wont fit my starter (at least is completely different looking) and there is 10mm difference in both... and the thing is my own 190mm fly, as been lightweigh to 14.5lbs... so i might as well use that thing too.... they make the dual friction for the E16i too wich i think should do great but i was thinking more when i saw specs on it...
Centerforce dual friction .... 90% more holding Vs stock... my goal is over 150% the stock output (of the E16i) So... will it last ???

***** I don't think there a clutch on the planet that will last behind the E15ET you are building, Martin!
CRap !! lol i tend to think the tranny(s) wont be as tough as the clutch lol !! that gonna be the next big problem !!... good till i break in the engine than ill broke the tranny !! lol ... but i think the dual should be my choice on that... i wander wath Hybrid was using on his setup !??

Talk to ACT and see what they say. They may have another option for you.
BTW When I come back, you need to take me for a ride in your car. I need to feel the MaD-e15t PoWeR!!

Originally posted by AVERAGE if im not mistaken guys, i think hybrid mentioned he went through atleast 2 trannies but i havent read that old SOLM article in quite awhile.
You are right, AVERAGE. I blew a couple up myself, and that's without a turbo. The answer might be to have the gearsets cryo treated. The SE-R guys are doing that to their 5-speeds, after installing the SR20DET's.
at 160+hp for next year...im sure im gonna finish of the one i got right now .... (not weak but still fragile)...didnt pop yet but it grinded a couple shot and now its hord to put in reverse so.... i might as well kill it for good !!

Centerforce are usually overpriced and only offer slightly higher than stock performance. I dont have a specific clutch for you to use but a DO NOT select a puck clutch. A good sprung hub disk type clutch that holds just enough to match the power you are generating is the best. If you go to wild with the clutch you will go through transmissions like crazy. I broke at least 4.
