GA16de transmission on a ga16i engine?

hey guys im wondering if it is possible to swap a 91 sentra ga16de transmission onto a ga16i? i have a parts car b13 and i want to convert my 89 b12 to manual and none of our junkyards have a manual. so any info would be great.
i know i need the fallowing
shift linkage
b12 manual ecu or could i just run the auto ecu?
the complete shifter aseembly in the center column.
the clutch pedal assembly
the clutch cable.
the transmission motor mount
and i think that is it.
as far as wiring goes what would i have to change on the wire harness for the manual.

I ran a GA16i transmission on my B12 GA16DET, and that is because I noticed the many differences between the two transmissions. First, the DE transmission uses a different spline on its CV axles, so you'd have to replace the hubs as well as the halfshafts. Also, the transmission mounts are different, so be prepared to change those. Also, depending on what year DE transmission it is, it may be electronic speedo. But, they are MUCH easier to find than a 16i, so good luck! I am not sure about shift linkage and such.

Also, as I just remembered, the B13 GA16DE transmissions had a horrible problem with 5th gear popout. I don't recall a GA16i transmission ever having the same issue, though I could be wrong.

OEM Surplus: Sentra

still lists brand new surplus 5 speeds as being available for $400, I bought one from them for my 90, was delivered brand new in the nissan crate think I got it for $450 delivered !! Check them out if you are still looking for a tranny before they sell out of them.

I come on these forums to help if I can, if I say something wrong and someone corrects me I also learn something.
