no, the axles are different on the tranny side from auto to manual. and no you dont have to drop the tranny to replace the oil seals. take the balljoints loose. if you have help you can just have someone pull the strut assembly out while you pry the axle loose from the tranny. and let the axles lay on the ground while you change the oil seals. then you can put the axles back in with a little effort aligning with the tranny. make sure you lock the axles in past the c-clips.

well i,ve been to several auto parts sites and none ....so far .....have listed any difference for 87 sentras, as far as use on automatics and manuals.....i,ve got a set of axles from a 5 speed i,d like to use on the automatic if i can.....

well i figured it out.....87-90 SOHC Sentras and Pulsars, halfshafts for "all" transaxles....Left side #NI-8079
Right side # NI-8078

lay them side by side and examine. looks and measure the same, try it?

you have much experience with taking transaxles apart? specifically manuals? i got mine apart and trying to figure out what's going crazy in it. if you haven't, look over my post, as of the time of this post, the url to the picture is down. and i can't edit it, so, i'll have to wait until i get it moved to a dfifrernt webserver and repost the link.
