Question Problem Changing Belts

I just tried to change the belts on my 1993 Sentra Classic - E16i with power steering.

I couldn't get the power steering pulley to move even after I loosened everything up like it says in the Haynes manual. Tried tapping it with a mallet and dousing it with WD40.

Yeah there are TWO bolts. The one you can see and the one that runs perpendicular to the one you can see. The second one is a bitch to reach but you will have to loosen that one to get the pump to move.

Yeah... I loosened both bolts, but the thing will not budge. I'll try applying more force.

I loosened the long tensioning bolt and the lock nut attached to the pump bracket.

Thumbs up

Just finished both belts. All I needed was some help from a pry bar and a mallet. Runs smooth and no more squeeks.

Thanks for all your help!
