Umm, I'm pretty sure the shift linkage is the same.
One of the mounts has to be welded to the cross member under the engine. I think you'll have to have custom halfshafts made, they never offered the SR20 in a B12, so they never made SR20 axles the right length for a B12 body..
Your going to need the factory service manual for the donor car (ie, 93 Sentra SE-R (did the SE-R get it's own FSM, or is it just blended in with the Sentra FSM for that year? That'd be a big ass book).
Ya might consider getting an SR20DET from the get-go.. Do it right if your going through all the effort. And I've seen 6 speed manual trannies for the SR20's.. That'd be a nice cherry on top. hehe..
Good luck, if you do it, I'll have to do it too. hahahaha..

well as info that i could give... its a sr20de from a Infinity G20 around 93 coupled with the nx2000 gear box... in really good condition for the price of a rebuilt engine (1500) with every wiring ecu shafts, cross member, all mount rubber and engine to chassi... ect... but i need a list... i know the shafts are ok for the b12 as long as you get the bearing changed or the spindle changed for the one that had the shaft in it (nx2000 front unit in that case) the cross member thing if someone got a pic or two of the welding that would be nice !! did it had to be cutted or altered in any case (mount) before getting it welded on the B12 cross-member ???...

Heh, most people have it done for them. It's hard to have both the money and the TIME for the swap. Seems if you have the money for it, you have money because you've given up all your time.

the thing is ... wich i confirmed with my local swap guy... that the installation would cost me 2000$... wich is 500$ than the kit... so id like to do it myself.... i may 1500$... but not 3500$... and plus is id like to do it myself, gathering knowledge from that engine and figuring out the whole electricity implied with it... the reason why i ask those question is because i dont want to fall short on my budget im still a B12minded guy you know !! I want to know the real issues in putting those engine there, the major pain causes... ect... i want to be prepared and avoid headache (grin)...

or almost !

well in the mean time it would be good to write a complete how-to to get everyone a chance to know it doable, and how to do it !... if i have no choice, no answers, ill do it anyway and ill do the write up myself !! ... ... i figure i can swap the whole thing in a complete week. (figuring im on vacation at that time and i have all the tools needed)

The shift linkage is not the same. The end of the SE-R linkage needs to be cut off and welded to the B12 shifting rod.

You do not need custom halfshafts or axles. The Se-R's wheel base was very close to that of our b12's. If you position the engine and transmission right, the se-r axles should work. you can either use the se-r brake assy on your b12 or press out the b12 hub for a b13 hub, like nismodriver did.

If you already havent, Check out this link. I list just about everything you need. http://www.nissanforums.com/showthre...5&pagenumber=2

Btw, I would allow more than one week to do this swap. That estimate is way off.

no hes a guy who owned the fastest nx2000 in Quebec ... he crashed the beast last fall..... he bought a g20 (p11 i think) and he dismantle his Sr20det from the Nx to put into his g20 so now hell have a g20 engine and a tranny plus all the parts fron the nx to cut/take to make the swap to any car... on Npclub, hes called Nx2k, alias Jean-Seb... or here he is Djinx2000

The B12 shift linkage does have to be cut and joined with the se-r peice. Make sure the joins are in alignment, if not it will be hard to get into gears. Also, the B12 crossmemeber has to be welded in. Wiring can get a bit tricky, especially if you don't have a trouble shooter or a service manual (but i'm sure there are sr20 diagrams online).

The sr20 Axles will work, but they have to se-r m/t. The G20 and auto sr20 axles will not fit properly. The only problem that I know of is when making a hard left or right turn, the axles make a rubbing noise and one time popped out (That never happened again though).

........ok..... ur on your own.
