repost to explain my tranny more clearly

ok... i asked before but ppl dint understand, i got a 1988 automatic sentra when i would drive it ,it wouldnt shift but now i figure out it was so cable or something that goes from the accelrater to the tranny how do i take it out is there a clip to take it out caz it goes straight into the tranny and i dont want to open that up maybe someone understand what iam saying and could help me thx you for your time

It's called the "kick down something or other" No idea how to fix it though.

To remove the kickdown cable, you have to remove the trans pan, and then you will be able see the plastic hex nut that secures it. Be careful not to tighten the new one up very much, because it is plastic, and I have seen many a mechanic break it off.
