my 1988 nissan sentra tranny question

ok... i thought my tranny was trashed but it wasnt it dint shift but i figured out it was the tranny linkage i disconnected it from the throtle but were is it on the tranny how do i find it thx for the help iam a n00b in this forums and its my first nissan
