e16 exhaust manifold ground connection?

on cylinder no. 4 on the exhaust manifold cover there is a spot for i suppose a ground wire to clip on to the top right corner where it bolts up? mine doesn't have a wire running there. is there something that connects there? i can take a pic if u want.

I think you are talking about the one that goes from the manifold sheild down to the chasis by the front engine mount

Apparently that ground connection isnt really necessary provided you have the other one further down the exhaust. Check to see if there is one toward the centre of the car. That reminds me, when I fitted a branch and free flow I had to disconnect all. Need to fit it back

i finally got around to taking a picture with my cell camera (digicam's broken)



the blue circle is where the little clip is. same kind of clip thats on the other side of the distributor vacuum advance hose.
