ok I think I have a problem with my reverse lights when I have all my lights off and I put it in reverse they come on but as soon as I turn on my lights they turn off (reverse lights), so that's my first prob second one is that when I put it in reverse and start to move theres this werid clunking sound from the front but it's only when I'm in reverse so if any one can help me out it would be greatly appreciated thanx
Well first off with the lights It sounds like you might have a problem with grounds. Check the ground from engine to chasis, transmission to chassis, and also check the plug on the transmission for the reverse lights, Also check for ground at the buld. As for the noise in reverse does it make it when turning, or all the time? If it makes a click-click noise in reverse with the wheel turned all the way one way or the other it would be the CV axles. If you check the inner and outer boots on the CV axle they should not be ripped or greasy. If they are ripped you will need to replace the boots and repack the joints. It might be easier to buy new CV axles and replace them.

ok with the grounds I don't know were all the grounds are so if any one can help me out with that one, and for the reverse thing it's mostly like a clunk-clunk but it's like that when I'm going strait back and some times when I do turn the steering weel it goes a way some

If it does it when the wheel is streight, it could be a number of things ranging from loose lower ball joints, to engine mount, to lower A frame bushings.
The grounds there should be one hooked to the transmission above the CV axle to the chassis. also there should be one by the exhaust manifold going to the engine from chassis. There are also some grounds on the passenger side of the engine bolted to the intake manifold. It has been a while since I have looked at my engine bay, for other groungs, but I think you should start with the main engine and transmission grounds.
The reverse lights should be a seperate circuit from the regular marker and brake lights, so this is sort of a weird problem. If you can't find any loose or broken grounds let me know I I will look further into what could cause it.

oh cool thanx bob I will look at ALL the grounds today I know the ones on the intake and theres one on the passenger side fender, but I have not seen one on the tranny or the exhaust manifold os I guess that might be the problem and thanx for the all the help it has been greatly appreciated
ok new info, ok when the key is out and I put it in reverse and step on the brakes all the dash lights come on and theres a ding- ding like if the door was open
Ok that sounds a littler more serious. Have you done anything to any of the wiring? Or possibly you got is a fender bender, and some wires are shorting togather? If it were just the REV lights, or the break and dash lights I would think loose plug, or missing ground, but It sounds like the brake light circuit and marker light (dash) curcuits are shorted togather with the REV curcuit in the middle. Does the dash lights turn on when you hit the brakes when not in reverse? It is possable your turn signol switch is shorting the brake light system to the marker light system, but I don't think that the REV is connected in between.
First thing to do is turn on the Hazzard flashers, and see if all the lights are doing what they are supposed to. Next unplugg the Hazzard switch, and see if it fixes any of the problems. Then unplugg the turn signol switch and recheck for porper operation of rev lights and brake lights.
Do you have the amber turn signol lights, or does it use the brake lights for the turn signols on the rear? It is possible that one of the elements in the bulb is shorting across also, so pull out the bulbs and check for a bad one. I think the part number for the Tail/ Brake light bulb is 1157, they are a cheep thing to try.
Let me know

ok when I just step on the brake the rear defoger light comes on that's with no key, when I put the key in and step on the brake the rear defoger light comes on and I don't know what its called but it's right cross from the rear defoger on the left of the dash that happens in any gear but REV and you know what it does when it's in REV and I have gott'n in to a front end fender bender and I have a tech but that's all the wiring I have done
