Anyone got any mods for the E-series engines??? These are the ones I know of:
-DG-Racing intake. It's expensive especially when you can make your own. GHETTO STYLE!!!!
-The head from the e15T fits. It has larger valves AND raises compression. Get it at http://www.nismoparts.com
-Pacesetter makes an exhaust header, but I don't know if it makes any difference.

install the e15 head port and polish it mill it port match the intake manifold, reground the cam, advance the timing, fuel pressure regulator and for those with a e16 upgrade to a ga16i throttle body and injector
Do you know if the TB is a direct bolt-on or does it take some mods??

To tell you the truth Ricebox i don't know. Maybe you just have to enlarge the holes or something.
I lost hope in my e16i engine the acceleration sucks i think it's the oxygen sensor and the throttle cable.
Ricebox can you send me a pic of your throttl cable as to where it is connected. In the back of my head there is a piece of metal that is bended to the side with a oval opening i think that where the nut from the cable get's connected, because right now my cable just moves around and it has alot of slack.
The engine doesn't heve any power. I press the gas the car doesn't move it won't go up a hill but i'm not going to let got. This summer i'm going to replace the oxygen sensor and fix the problem with the cable and see what happens.
IN two years i'll drop in it a ga16de and manuel trans with 2inch exhaust cold air intake and hit the 1320 in high to low 15s
this car is going to die with me you know what i'm saying RICEBOX

I tried to scan a picture from my Haynes manual but my scanner is spastic. I suggest you get a copy of the manual for yourself. It is really helpful. If I get the scanner working I'll post the picture.

Have you heard of what Ryco is up to
There is a picture, I don't remember the page but it is in the "fuel injected engine" section. About 5 pages in. And I have no idea what Ryco is up to. Why do you ask???

Ghetto intake is all. This spring I'm going to try to make a pipe to attach a conefilter. If it works I'll post pictures. I'm just a poor highschool student so I don't have much money to spend on my car. New tires and possibly a set of used wheels are on their way this month. I'm trying to get a good job for the summer so I can quit the crappy job I have now, maybe then I'll have some spare cash.

Auto wreckers are my favourite source of car parts.
BTW I forgot to tell you that my car came with cross-drilled rotors and I also installed a tach.

By theory I always thought that the ga16i and the ga16de shared the same engine block, and therefore the engine would be were interchangable. (like the e-15t and the E16) I'm still not sure if this is the case though.
Even if the blocks were identical, the transmission mounts are probably different and would not bolt to the b12 chassis.
I'm not sure if any of this is true, but from what I have seen it doesnt seem like the two engines are interchangable. However, I have not spent alot of time reasearching it, so I could be wrong.
It would be interesting to find out if the two engines did bolt up. If they did maybe there would be some way to bolt in the sr20 using half Ga mounts and half sr20. (like those honda guys with the B series swaps) Unlikely, but it definately would be a cool project to pursue.
If you ever decide to pursue it, let me know if you need any help.
