Talking one more sentra

hi everyone. i was just given an 87 xe yesterday and i ve been under the hood every since i got it. its pretty nice because ive never seen an 87 with some of the options that are on this car . i took the battery out of my dd car to turn the thing over and all i get is a clunk. i do hear the starter engage, but its not turning over at all. 2 things i wanted to try is 1 take my starter off of my car and put on it and try that and 2 manually turn the crank to see if the motor is seized up. im also thinking about dropping the oil pan to see if there might be a "neglected " piston laying in there. hopefully i can get this thing running but if i dont i have the best of everything cause this thing has brand new everything that u can think of from cv joints to struts and springs and other under the hood goodies most of us need day to day. i was just wondering if there was a step that i missed because i would really like to get this thing running because in all honesty bodywise this thing is in better shape than my car . it sucks that its another auto but hey it was free so i cant complain.let me know.....(here s some homework for ya blown, rice, and boost

So you are up to 3 b12s now?? If you can hear the starter engage it only means that the selenoid is working, the actual starter motor could be shot. Take one from your other Sentra and see if the engine runs with that one. If it isn't that, then it could be a seized engine.

Sounds like every seized E series engine I've ever seen. I would try a pry bar on the crank shaft, to make sure it's not just stuck from sitting for a long time. But then, if that's the case, the rings are probably toast and it'll smoke like mine.

just gutted the trunk today and now i have a fully covered trunk in plastic as well as the lights . there are even covers for them and i now have a light in my trunk. next to switch over will be the nicer mirrors off the xe. everytime i get in my car i have to roll down the windows and readjust them because someone has bumped into them/

Ya, I know the feeling. And I don't even have a passenger side mirror. Are the ones on the XE power mirrors, or just a better design?
