I have an 89 Sentra with a GA16i. The motor is destroyed and I am going to just replace it. All I have found though is the 1.5L from Japan. Are they a direct replacement or do I have to change some things out? Any info you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Yes the the 1.5 will replace the GA16i. has been done here recently. believe you'll need to swap intake manifold, exhaust manifold, valve cover, crank pulley, and flywheel. I am sure someone that has done it can chime in, but definitely will work.
Why not just look for a GA16i. Very common on most scrapyard.
